Today, SHOWTIME unveiled the season four poster for its No. 1 series HOMELAND, premiering on Sunday, October 5th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.  The highly-anticipated drama stars Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe winner Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a bi-polar CIA officer who plays by her own rules. Averaging seven million total weekly viewers, HOMELAND has garnered a total of 25 Emmy nominations and seven Golden Globe nominations. We are thrilled to welcome Laila Robins and Corey Stoll to HOMELAND season four! Today, SHOWTIME announced that these two acclaimed actors have joined the fourth season of our Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning drama series. Robins joins as a series regular in the role of “Martha Boyd,” the United States Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who is professional and put together, with a ship-to-ship voice and the personality to match. Stoll will guest star as “Sandy Bachman,” the CIA Chief of Station in Pakistan and a rising star in the Agency’s firmament. The series’ fourth season will begin production later this month in Cape Town, South Africa.  HOMELAND returns to SHOWTIME this fall. 

Calling all SHOWTIME fans, we are thrilled to announce our Free Preview Weekend will start this Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11th. SHOWTIME will be available in 74 million households and viewers will be able to sample the network’s award winning programming.

 

The Free Preview weekend will include the series premiere of the new drama series PENNY DREADFUL, as well as new episodes of the critically-acclaimed hit series NURSE JACKIE and CALIFORNICATION, the premium television premiere of Scary Movie 5, and the premiere of Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana, the thrilling 12-round welterweight world championship unification bout from Saturday, May 3. During the Preview, SHOWTIME will also debut the second episode of PENNY DREADFUL on SHOWTIME ANYTIME immediately following the series premiere on Sunday, May 11th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

HOMELAND’s fourth season will premiere this fall on SHOWTIME.
 

“We’ve been so lucky to work with one of the best crews in the business for the last three seasons in Charlotte,” said Homeland showrunner and executive producer Alex Gansa. “We knew going into season four that we would need to move the production overseas to tell the story of Carrie returning to the Middle East as chief of station.  We are thrilled to have found a new home in Cape Town and look forward to getting season four production off the ground.”
