As if we needed yet another reason to be anxiously awaiting the season 3 premiere of The Big C (April 8th…mark your calendars if you haven’t done so already), SHOWTIME has officially announced that Susan Sarandon will be joining the cast for a multi-episode guest appearance!  Yes, you read right.  Susan Sarandon.  Expect to see Sarandon as a fellow cancer survivor who uses her unique experience to inspire and motivate others.  Cathy (the oh-so-wonderful Laura Linney) has already been through a roller coaster of emotions these past two seasons as she’s tried her best to cope with her diagnosis, but Sarandon’s character will push her to question her own cancer experience and reconsider how she lives her life.  Intrigued to learn more?  Tune in at 9:30 PM ET/PT on Sunday, April 8th, only on SHOWTIME.
